It’s not every day you get the chance to meet your heroes, but at Glasgow City, the connection between our first team and academy players is something truly special.  

At our opening SWPL fixture of the season against Celtic at Petershill Park, U8s academy player Saorlaith had the experience of being our matchday mascot. Saorlaith was a fantastic ambassador for the club throughout the day, bringing plenty of energy and enthusiasm as she joined the team. Saorlaith was also the inspiration behind Lisa Forrest’s goal celebration. 

We loved having Saorlaith as part of the matchday experience and are looking forward to seeing her in the stands ay future games. Everyone at Glasgow City wishes her the best of luck for the season ahead as she continues her own football journey.
