In August, Glasgow City FC proudly launched its first-ever coffee in partnership with Glasgow-based Dear Green Coffee Roasters.  

The coffee is sourced from the KCRS Women Co-operative in Rwanda, a network of women-led smallholdings committed to producing high-quality coffee through sustainable and ethical practices. Dear Green founder Lisa Lawson, who is also a founding member of our City Collective, visited the co-operative to learn more about the inspiring work being carried out by its members and their commitment to fully traceable, ethically sourced produce. 

To help select the perfect blend, first-team players, Lisa Evans, Linda Motlhalo and Emma Brownlie took part on a special tasting session. The trio sampled a range of coffees while also learning about the journey behind the beans and the women whose work makes the product possible.  

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting and empowering women, both on and off the pitch. Every bag purchased helps make a difference, with £1 from each sale donated directly to the Glasgow City Foundation.  

These contributions support the Foundation’s work in making football more accessible and providing opportunities for women and girls to develop valuable skills, confidence and leadership qualities.  

By bringing together football, community and ethical sourcing, the partnership with Dear Green represents another meaningful step in Glasgow City’s commitment to creating positive impact both locally and globally.
