Several Glasgow City academy prospects have secured loan moves ahead of the 2026/27 season, gaining valuable first-team experience across the SWPL 2 and SWF Championship.  

Dara Ositelu and Aoibhe Toner have joined Hamilton Academicals for their SWPL 2 campaign and have already begun making an impact. Both players have made their debuts for Accies, with Dara making her first appearance in style by finding the net against Renfrew Ladies in the Sky Sports Cup. Aoibhe also got her first minutes for the club, coming off the bench in their recent fixture against Queen’s Park.  

Zoe Mooeny has also enjoyed a positive start to her loan spell with Queen’s Park. The young midfielder made her debut against Boroughmuir Thistle in the Sky Sports Cup before earning a place in the starting XI the following week, completing the full 90 minutes against Dundee United. 

After an impressive loan spell with Rossvale FC last season, where she was named the club’s Player of the Year, goalkeeper Charlotte Gates has taken the next step in her development by joining St Johnstone WFC. Charlotte made her debut for the Saints in August in their Sky Sports Cup fixture against Montrose.  

Meanwhile, Ava Allison has joined SWF Championship side Stirling University WFC. Since arriving, she has made her debut and completed the full 90 minutes in a dominant 7-1 victory over Forfar Farmington.
